From March 2011 to November 2013 I owned and operated a little company called Well Played Games LLC. I started it with the intention of having a vehicle to use for making some small iOS games and growing it into larger products with bigger teams. But along the way a variety of different opportunities came up for me.
A couple weeks ago I stared using a Unity3D plug in called Playmaker, by Hutong Games. It’s a node based system that allows a user to visually create game play scripting. While I’m fully capable of doing this by hand, I’m always open to solutions that help me do more in less time, for less effort. So far, I’m extremely impressed with Playmaker!
I have a little Joby Gorillapod, which is a really cool and lightweight way to have a tripod with me. The other day I was pondering where to get a solid, cheap stand for my iPad, rather than paying the ridiculously high prices for “official” iPad stands I’ve seen, when it occurred to me to use the Joby! I bent the front two legs upwards to catch the iPad base, and bent the back leg mostly flat for stability.
